Act two has been full of surprises and confessions. As we can see Nora is very desperate and doesn't know what to do. What is her best alternative for this excruciating situation? Although Nora is married to Helmer it is very clear to us that she has a very close and flirty relationship with Dr. Rank. I don't understand how she didn't expect it possible for him to be deeply in love with her. Haven't you been flirty all along and made him feel something deep and farther than just a friendship? However she does confess to him ,(page 196) "You see there are some people that one loves, and others that perhaps one would rather be with." I thought this expressed a deep feeling towards him and how special he is but also showed a boundary.
When Nora turned to Dr.Rank for his help I was surprise at the the outcome. It wasn't surprising finding out his jauntily love for Nora because of their flirty actions towards each other. Although, I was surprised Nora didn't go on and ask him for the favor she needed . He mentioned ,(pg:195) "Well at any rate you know that I'm at your service body and soul. So wont you say what it is?" So why didn't she just go ahead and tell him , he would've helped for a fact. This made me conclude that Nora didn't want to play with his feelings and that after all she isn't a women anxious for money, even in the circumstances now.
I liked when Nora didn't ask him for the money too. It proves that not all women use their looks and lust to get what they want from a man.
